Reading an external DB from my site hi... i'm new to db development, and i'm creating my own site, but i'm stuck because i need to load an external database (meaning from outside my network) into my site everytime a user opens a specific page... how do i link the external database to my site?

You need access to the remote database. That means remote address, database name, table names, username and password that your script can use to access it. Contact the database owner and ask them.
