hey guys... i was wondering, is there a way of changing the brightness in my monitor (besides the obvious options within the monitor)? it happens that it is very dark and some games are really difficult to play that way... so... is there a way to make it brighter from the Graphics card configuration' my graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9550...

I hope the ATI users on the forum reply to you - but in case they don't, with nvidia, I go to their control panel (Catalyst in ATI) and set the display controls to default. Sometimes you have to increase the Gamma setting to brighten the screen; for nvidiia there is a Video section as well as a display section; the video section deals with the non-windows aspects of diaply (like DVD). So check that too.
