Hey, I use AOL (don't ask, my dad decided to use it) and I want to be able to connect to the internet without some big, laggy browser running while I use Firefox or play games. I used to use the AOL "dialer" provided with the software, buuuut... it's kinda prone to disconnecting without warning. Can anyone help me in finding a sofware that lets me just access the internet for other programs to be able to use? My connection is 1/2Mb ASDL.

You have to use the AOL dialer.
It keeps disconnecting because its set up so x minutes after the web browser is closed, it disconnects. This is to stop people running up hige phone bills by accident. This can be disabled
