BlueSoleil Failing on Vista

I received BlueSoliel with a PPA bluetooth USB dongle. Installation went fine, but when I start Bluesoleil, I get a Vista message that Bluethooth program has stopped working. BlueSoleil said I had to by thier upgraded package for 10 euros (I only paid $10 for the dongle). PPA said I should run in XP Compatability mode (haven't tried this yet, but will tonight).
Does anybbody have Vista experience with these dongles? At $10 a peice, I thought there might be someone out there with the answer.
