Help DOS on Vista

I recently upgraded my XP to Vista and I just realised I can't access the command prompt, the error I get is : volume in drive C has no label.

Any help on this?

that just means your c drive doesn't have a label. so put a label on it!

yeah thats how you do it in xp, dont know about vista (properties maybe?)

and its not really DOS btw, dos hasnt ever existed natively in windows NT based systems, its just a compatibility layer

just create a desktop shortcut to "cmd".

Or Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt

To change the volume label: Windows Explorer, expand the Computer folder, right-click on c:\, select Properties then enter the name in the edit box.
