C programmers guide to Java

  #1
Nov 17th, 2007
Hi all,

I have been working programming embedded C for just over a year now. But I am interested in learning Java.

In essence, I am looking for a definitive guide to Java, including books and on line resources. From, past experience I know that the best way to learn is by learning. With that in mind, I am going to create a few dummy projects. However, I am keen to hear about any useful projects I could undertake to help develop my skills

Thank you in advance

There are a ton of Java tutorials to be found at http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/ and through Google. A good free online book can be found here: http://www.faqs.org/docs/think_java/TIJ3_c.htm

Thank you very much for your reply Ezzaral. I had seen the java.sun site and so it is good to know I was on the right track. I also came across plenty of sights on google but sorting out the good, the bad and the ugly can be a headache sometimes

Thanks once again
