I don't know if you are a webmaster or not, but I would like to give you some useful tips.
First of all, get rid of the counter, or choose something invisible. Second, don't put lots of adverts for concurrents on you homepage. Also try some colors, black is not a good color for photography.
Find a way to adjust your photos, making them align neatly under each other, instead of a tree shape and also search for ways to make your photos open in the same page, instead of each photo opening in a new window.

Hi,
I don't think a black background is a problem necessarily but I do find the ones and zeros to be a distraction. Instead of using your thumbnails and new windows I would recommend that you post the photos as galleries to some other (free) site such as flickr / photoworks / orderpicture and setup your camera-links to bring the galleries up in the same frame where you currently show your thumbnails.
Good Luck!
