JB is correct, WMP V11 and IE 7 run the genuine advanget pak when you try to install those software. there is no way around that, unless you are running a hacked copy.

ok,update ,im finished installed the xp pro "devils own "with sp2 slipstreamed into it ,with and active winxp key already in it also ,no activation required ,that passed everything on winxp update site ,and install 44 updates ,including ie7 and then i went into wmp 10 and updated it to version 11 ,then back to windows update for 3 more wmp security updates ,so i guess its all possible with the right pirated winxp cd

Right then I am also gonna try to do it on my old laptop but not sure if the configuration will let me but i ll definitely give it a go and see how far i get to. I think the guy i was helping out in installing xp earlier did use the dodgy fckgw cd key...i ll use the same to install on that laptop and try to get the sp2 from the site and see how it goes. I have never done this before but what do you guys suggest i need to be wary of as that laptop is really quite old and doesnt really have any value to me i ve kept it to do experiments onto it.

I think its 256mb ram with Pentium 3, 1ghz cpu with about either 6gb or 30 gb hdd. Its a very old toshiba satellite even without the touchpad, just a dot in the middle of keys to use as navigational joystick.

Regards
Raj
