This includes tech support troubleshooting pirated software or P2P programs (i.e. Gnutella, Kazaa) used to obtain pirated software. Exceptions are helping to remove spyware or browser hijacks (that may or may not be related to illegal material) from a computer.

We all are aware of the rules of Daniweb here mate. I think we are not talking about going illegal but trying to explore the knowledge about these things. I mean Microsoft itself has rovided the tools on their website as the previous posters have posted and If someone want to research those tools and resources i dont think that means we are providing tech support for the Pirated Softwares.

I for one didnt even know that this was possible through MS itself. So i think this has nothing to do with advertising pirated software or anything but about gaining knowledge about something which you dont know. I am still gonna go ahead and try this as MS themselves are OK with it so dont see any big reason of creating such a big fuss.

Didnt mean to offend anyone or go the illegal way but there are different prospects of looking at things and it might not always be the same as u think it is.

My understanding of the problem is that the site itself can be prosecuted for promoting pirated, hacked software, especially Windows.
I personally don't care all that much, but I've never seen such a blatant discussion of pirating and hacking on a legitimate site.

we are in a grey area so i thimk everyone shuld just change the topic, or lock the thread
