Hey guys, having a fairly good knowledge of Windows throughout years I have managed to solve my problems. Up until now. A small problem ruined my day, I can't get rid of it, the only way i could find a solution is to format the drive for a new windows(which is the desperate method.)

So with all my respect, before losing my mind, i decided to ask you guys. Here's the problem; when i click on my computer, or load it in any way from the windows explorer, it does not load. simple as that. i have no access to my drives directly. But seeing as you have Live Messenger running also, maybe not.

Your HJT log shows EXPLORER.EXE as running. What can you tell us about that? And what is your CPU usage?

What if anything have you installed as new in the period just before the problem?

And could this Mac lookalike software have some hand in this (a pure guess)?

What does SPYBOT say (a trusted program here)?

Have you tried a Windows repair from the XP disk?

What is your configuration?

1- i dunno about explorer.exe benig there, but i have a clue: maybe because when the problem started; i closed down win exp from the kill process section and restarted it from the -run- menu.
2-Just before the problem, i installed a webcam, that's all. But after i installed the webcam, during the same session, i used it flawlessly. i aslo had no problems with the xp. they started after the reboot.
3-i didn't use spybot but ad aware says it cleaned up everything. also tried various NOD32 deep scans. no problem found by that also.
4- noi idon't actually know what to do since i never utilised that before, in any of my previous windows' also. if you thik it may help, can you givev a little guidance?

We can deal with the other issues if they remain after the repair.

oh and about that mac software-- it is actually with me for a very long time, i don't think so, i tried in another Administrator and checked, it is not that.
