Re: How Do I Format USB Flash Drive in MAC OS Ext

Expand Post »
Sorry, but I want to trade data from a working Win XP PC and transfer it to a non-working Mac OS9.2 machine so I can update the Mac.

Windows formats the USB flash drive (125MB) as FAT, the Mac offers to reformat it because it can't read it ...

Either Mac format ("standard" or "extended") works in the Mac, but then fails to read in the Windows machine, which offers to reformat it as FAT again. Argh!

How do I exchange data between a working Windows/Internet box and a failing Mac/off-internet box to get patches and fixes on it?

Thanks!

Re: Transferring files from Windows to Mac OS 9

Try using something like HFSExplorer on your PC; this will allow it to read and write to Mac-formatted filesystems.
