OS 9 LAN Problems

Expand Post »
Hi Folks,

I have a Quicksilver mac which a department needs OS9 and X on, X is working fine with its manual IP settings and from the "connect to server" menu i can access the server they need. The OS9 (9.2.2) partition will not go onto the network, i tried the same Ip as X and a different one, all the settings are the same, but i cannot ping it from my windows box when its in 9. Been through aples KB's and have followed the guide but to no avail.

Any help would be great. thanks a bunch.

Re: OS 9 LAN Problems

Make sure you have Ethernet selected in the Network control panel (sometimes also called Appletalk control panel) I cannot remember its been along time since I used pre OS X. Make sure that your TCP/IP settings are complete.
