Re: trying to open 'exe' file on G5

You won't be able to run a .exe file on the Mac. They're written for a completely different platform. Unless you run Virtual PC, or something.

Re: trying to open 'exe' file on G5

Sometimes .exe's are compressed files and can be uncompressed with StuffIt. It's rare, but it's happened to me a a few times.

Re: trying to open 'exe' file on G5

I run into this problem with many files I download from Acquisition...many of these files unzip or expand to .exe files...I don't get it...why would Mac programs be in .exe files that have no application to open them? Also, how would one open .rar files in Tiger? Thanks in advance for any help.
