Safari 1.2.4 repeated error message for new page to open

Hoping someone else has experienced this frustration. When I click to new link or type new browser page I get pop up error that page unable to be found - not timed out - almost immediate - so I have to hit enter in browser address bar again to open new page. I am on aiport extreme and cable modem @ 2.3 kbps. Your insight is appreciated.

Hello,

There are discussions going on out there that OS X might be having problems with DNS caching. This might be flowing along those same lines.

Can you repeat the error religiously? If so, find the raw IP number of the website you are trying to work with, and try typing in that IP information into the website instead. See if the error occurs.
