I Cant Install Software

IM NEW TO THE MAC WORLD SO THIS MIGHT SOUND VERY STUPID TO SOME PEOPLE BUT HEY IM A BEGINNER.....I HAVE A MAC G4 1.2 GHZ 512RAM AND RUNNING MAC OS X PANTHER ...I AM A PRODUCER SO I'VE DOWNLOADED SOME RECORDING SOFTWARE FROM (LIMELIGHT)....AFTER I DOWNLOAD IT I UNSTUFF IT AND GO TO THE APPROPRIATE FOLDER TO RUN THE SETUP.EXE....BUT WHEN I CLICK THE SETUP.EXE IT KEEPS ASKING ME IF I WANT TO STUFF THE PROGRAM ...IF I CLICK NO THEN THE SET UP QUITS AND IF I CLICK YES THEN IT RE STUFFS THE PROGRAM AND SO ON AND SO ON...IVE MADE SURE THE FILE IS COMPLETLY DOWNLOADED IT READS THE SIZE OF THE FILE FOR EXAMPLE ONE SOFTWARE IS AROUND 75 MB SO I KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING THERE I JUST DONT KNOW IF I NEED TO RUN IT THROUGH SOME OTHER APPLICATION SO IT CAN BEGIN THE SET UP PROCESS.....I HAVE DOWNLOADED A FEW OTHER PROGRAMS BUT IT DOES THE SAME THING ,,,,,DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS GOING ON????

Sounds to me like you've downloaded a PC program.
PC installers are usually called something like setup.exe, Mac installers either don't exist (just drag and drop the software wherever you want on you disk) or they're called something human like 'install'.

Make sure you download Mac versions of youe software, these are often dmg files (Disk Images) or sit files (compressed Stuffit files).

And please don't shout
