Can't open itunes

Expand Post »
I just got my ipod shuffle and needed to upgrade from 10.1.5 to Panther 10.3.8 to use it. After installing the newer OS I get an error everytime I try to open my itunes "The itunes Music Library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes" I don't understand since before I installed Panther I had itunes 4.7 and everything was working fine. I would appreciate any troubleshooting
Thanks

Re: Can't open itunes

Have you updated the iTunes on your newly installed Panther? Or is it the stock one that came with Panther, in which case, it's probably older then 4.7. Just use the Software Updater to update all your Mac software & OS.
