Saving postscript in OSX (Panther)

Expand Post »
I need to find a way to save a postscript file in OSX, it must include all but the standard 13 fonts.

In OS9 I used Simpletext to create a text file, printed to file using Laserwriter 8 and chose 'include all but standard 13 fonts' in the options.

Is there a Laserwriter for OSX, and where can I find any options for the 'save to file' to allow the font inclusion?

Re: Saving postscript in OSX (Panther)

hi mandy,
for the case you still need a help with your ps-files.
I've found a site which describes the ps-file creation in Mac os X and it said, the 13 fonts are always embedded..
But have a look
http://montgomery.cas.muohio.edu/help/software/PDF/
(extract of the document's last paragraph: PostScript files are saved as PostScript Level 2 files in ASCII format and include all but the standard 13 fonts. Fonts are subsetted.)

Hope it could help you.
