I have a Mac running leopard that won't connect to sites that start with

https://

It connects fine with all sites starting with

http://

When I try t connect to a https safari displays

Safari can’t open the page page url because Safari can’t establish a secure connection to the server server”.

The mac is connected to the internet using airport and the wifi signal is usually good.

When I try to add a gmail account to iCal that starts with https it also displays an error message so I don't think this is just safari acting weird.

Please help me!

Do you have Parental Controls enabled? If so, that's probably the cause of the problem. You have a few options:

1. Disable Parental Controls, or change the options to allow browsing to all sites.
2. Add the Gmail address to one of the "Always allow" sites.
