Mac Mini 2010 HDD upgrade

Hi everyone,

The HDD in my mac Mini 2011 failed and I had to replace the HDD completely. I took out the old one and replaced it with a WD 7200 750g drive. When I tried to boot it up with Lion Recovery, I can't see my HDD in the installation screen. Did I install the drive correctly or do I have to pre-format the HDD before I put it in. Your advise will be very much appreciated.

Regards,

As your hard drive failed, the recovery partition is gone too.
You'll have to reformat and install Lion again.
You can either buy the Lion USB installer from Apple online store of if you have an image file of the Lion installer burn that to a DVD and use that.
Not sure if your model support internet recovery but try by holding down 'r' while booting your mac and being connected to the internet via Ethernet.
