Probably your hard disk is having some sort of data corruption. The best thing to do right now is to reformat it right now, as you hopefully don't have too much data on the drive right now. Information on properly reformatting a Mac can be found in the sticky at the top of this forum. If the problem persists after a reformat, I would say you should call Apple's tech support.
