Hi.

I often log into a remote server at my lab using X11 and NX. On the server, I run Mathematica for a variety of purposes. In order for Mathematica's fonts to display correctly on my monitor, I have to tell X11 (on my machine) where the fonts are located using xset.

Thus far, I've been manually copying the necessary commands into the X11 terminal from a text file on my desktop each time I've logged into the remote server. However, I figure there has to be a way to tell X11 where those fonts are automatically at startup. My question is, into which startup script should I copy the relevant commands?

Thanks!

Sven

Perhaps .xinitrc ? On some systems it's .Xclients , so check your home directory.
