Migration Assistant help?

Expand Post »
Hi. I have an old imac (G4 I think) and I would like to transfer all my files to my new MacBook Pro. I'm following all the instructions on the Migration Assitant, but nothing happens after Step 4 - Machine Settings. This is the point at which it should start transferring the data, but I don't get any sort of note or pop-up that tells me how much time it will take, so I assume it isn't doing anything. The imac hard drives show up on the desktop of the new mac, but there are no files in there, just some of the applications. No Itunes, Ipics, or any of my documents. Weird. Can someone give me a bit of advice?
Thanks - frustrated
