Direct CD: PC to Mac

Expand Post »
I am working with a PC based (win98) digital video recorder. To save a video clip it uses Direct CD. It burns an AVI file to a CD without any problem and can be read on another PC. When the CD is put in a Mac, it is not recognized. The Mac sees the CD as being blank.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As you have found, Direct CD is not very compatible, especially older versions. This is because it uses drag-and-drop packet writing, which is not "true" ISO 9660. Use the regular or "classic" CD Creator in track-at-once (TAO) mode instead.
