upgrade the Blackberry Software

does anyone know how to upgrade the Blackberry Software to 4.5.0.81 without using an exe. file

I've had relatively good success running Windows .exes with Darwine. You'll need to have X11 installed in order to run it, though.

I have another question. Every few hours I get bbm-ed a message to update my software. It's getting really annoying. How do I turn this off?
