I have been having problems installing application files on my new mac. I am running OSX.5 and when I try to install something from an application file it immediately fails. I can install products from pkg. files just fine though.
Make sure the applications that you are trying to injstall are compatible with osx.5 otherwise it would not let you install the applications.
