Entourage Slow sending pdf files

My Entourage X has suddenly decided to hang - for minutes - at points in sending pdf files as attachments (any size, not just big guys) from my Titanum G4 (OS10.2.8). Problem is only with pdf, all other files send OK

I have reinstalled Office X, reinstalled Acrobat, installed updates. And it still does it. The same Entourage database backed up to desktop iMac does NOT hang - exact same message/files just whip through.

Strange. Any ideas anyone?
