Mac hibernation

Hi,

Does anyone know how to hibernate a macbook or is there even an option for it?

Here is Apple's answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1776

Modifying the .BASH_Profile from Terminal is also possible, but battery loss will wipe out your current work.
