Hi,

I have an internal SD card reader, which I installed and pluged into the motherboard. The LED on the front lights up which indicates there is power getting to it, but when I turn on the computer, it's not being recognized by windows. I put a card in and nothing happens. It's not listed as a drive in windows explorer or anything.

Does anyone have an idea what might be going on here? The only thing I can think of is that the motherboard has an 8 pin connector for the power supply and my power supply only has a 4 pin cord, so I just plugged the 4 pin in and hoped everything would work fine (which it has until now). Do I need to get a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter do you think? What else might cause this?
