So, I have looked for a new screen for my R51 and thought it was a 12.1 inch, but it turns out to be a 14.1 inch. I bought a screen from a ThinkPad X31, which is a 12.1 inch screen. (and am kicking myself for doing so) The place I bought the screen from won't take it back, so I need an alternative solution.
I'm wondering if I can replace the R51 screen with the X31 screen despite the difference in size. I mean, will the connection be the same? That's my biggest concern... I haven't opened up the R51 yet to see because it's not in my possession at the moment. (it's actually on loan to a friend)
Anyone ever done this before?
