My grandson brought me his eMachine T1150 after he experienced problems starting it. When I got it and pushed the power on button I did see a message that indicated a CMOS error - but lost it before I could note it down. Repeated tries to start have been unsuccessful.
Fans start, CD light flashes, there is one beep, the monitor light does not always go green, fan goes off after about 6 seconds.
I removed the CMOS battery and let it sit overnight, inserted new battery - no change
Removed memory and pushed power button again - get two sets of three rapid beeps after the initial beep.
Any ideas please?
