Expand Post »

Basically I want to know what distro is most wireless friendly and I want a livecd (for now) and want to know a good place to find drivers for my card. Ty in advance

Re: Wireless Network Card

You need to give us the exact make/model/version # of your wireless card.

Re: Wireless Network Card

Hi,

If the wireless card is not directly supported by Linux, you can try a solution using the windows driver and a product called ndiswrapper. It is found on sourceforge. This is how I got the DLINK to work with Fedora Core 3.

Re: Wireless Network Card

Ok let me just dig out the model.

BT Voyager 802.11B Wireless Lan
Drivers = 4.3.3.57

Is ndiswrapper built in on some Distro's I think SuSE use it but I might be wrong.
