Free Linux CD

Expand Post »
Hi

I'm wondering if there is a site out there that gives people FREE linux cd's. Something like Ubuntu's Shipit, it's for personal reasons. I've tried the free linux cd project, but it seems they've given up. If any one knows of any site, please let me know. Thanks:mrgreen:

Re: Free Linux CD

I've seen lots of sites that will ship out their Linux CDs for a nominal fee, but the sites such as Ubuntu's ShipIt that ship out free cds are few and far between. After all, somebody's got to pay the carrier fees.

Re: Free Linux CD

I know this, which is why I was asking if anyone knows about a free site. When you say "a few", who does that involve? There's ubuntu and what else?

Re: Free Linux CD

Hmm... well, there's this, but they've "got an overwhelming amount of requests and have been temporarily suspended".

It's also worth noting that Pogo Linux gives away free copies of their CDs, similar to ShipIt:

But of course it's only worth it if you're interested in Pogo Linux.
