I start up red hat after a fresh install, heres the last threee lines before it produces no more out put.

EXT3-fs: mounted file system with ordered data mode
Freeing ununsed kernal memory: 128k feeded
then it sits there for a while with nothing else. On my friends PC it gets right to the command prompt $, well if youc an help please!
