i installed my modem for dial up at my dads. however back home i still use the LAN/cable connection.

now i think it made dial up the default internet connection, how do i set LAN/ cable to be default

What version of Windows are you using? Right click on "My Network Places" on your desktop and go to "Properties". Select your LAN connection, right click it, and choose to set as default.

i got it fixed, took a bit. also think there may be a bad port on my router ( i hope there isnt!!)
