Error in SSH

Expand Post »
I used ssh in Window 2000 pro to connect to RH 9 .( in my Lan)
With : Host name : 192.168.0.55
User name : bach "My redhat 9 user"
Port : 22
Authentication method : Password
And i have a error message :
"The host '192.168.0.55' is unreachable
the host may be down , or there may be a problem with the network connection
Sometimes such problems can alse be caused by a misconfigured firewall"

What can i do to solve my problem ?
Thanks

Re: Error in SSH

Can you access the host itself by other means?

Re: Error in SSH

Do you have PuTTY set up properly? (Does it work with the same settings on another computer?)

There are added options for things like authentication that you may have to adjust.
