configuring squid for our office

Hi guys,

As i already mentioned, am a linux newbie because our office for some reason is moving to linux and as the head of Networks have been assigned to configure a squid but am stuck on how to go about it but have installed the squid on my debian. what next after that? please help...

This might be a stupid question but are you running the Debian distro or a derivative like Ubuntu?

I run a Ubuntu 9.10 Server at my company and I have Squid installed. This link might help. If not then just let me know and perhaps I could find another alternative.
