I'm using RH9 in Dual boot with win XP
The boot partition is /dev/hda4 - XP - HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda1, /dev/hda3 are LINUX native
/dev/hda2 is Linux Swap

partition table

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 14 64 409657+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda3 65 765 5630782+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda4 * 766 2434 13406242+ 7 HPFS/NTFS

I would like to eliminate the Win XP partition and make another LINUX native Partition
keeping the other boot options.

Can someone help me???

thanx :o

It seems like your box is configured to boot default in WinXP. You have to edit your lilo/grub configuration file, in order to remove the options to boot in Windows, and then reformat /dev/hda4 as a linux partition.

 well .... I decided to change my life !!!
 I studied Grub boot loader and I eliminate my WINXP partition ...

 I'll format the partition as linux partition and start LFS!!!

I will not need any more boot options for windows ... hehehe
