unable to communicate between host and guest computer in vmware server

I have set up VMware server 2.0.1 on my host computer running Windows 2008 R2.

I am Running several Windows 2008 guests OS that I will be using for sharepoint and sql server.
The guest IP nic cards are set as bridged and receive their IP from a linksys router. I can access the internet from the guests and the guests can talk to each other.

I promoted my Host "danny-vm-server" to a domain controller and installed DNS. IP address for this server is 192.168.1.106.
Firewall is turned off on host

I am running a linksys router and manually added an additional DNS server with the ip address of the host.

I am able to ping the guest computers from the host.
I cannot ping the host from the guest computers.
If I try and join one of the guests to the Domain controller that is running on the host, I receive an error message that the domain controller cannot be found.
