Type Farsi/Arabic in fedora core 7

Hi guys,
I've downloaded fedora core 7 and installed it,
the problem is when i want to type Farsi in Gnome the words are separated
from each other, and i cant write well,
I have add Farsi to my keyboard lay-out but still no result!

Download farsi font and copy to font folder
( system/prefrences/fonts/detail/go to folder font)

then run "fc-cache" command and relogin
