Modem not responding

hie
i am failing to connebt to the net using Win98 second edition with my modem
but when i am using WinXp its working proper.
The name written to chip of my modem is RLVDL 56DPF/SP BY ROCKWELL company
When WinXp detects my modem the namne is Generic 56K Data fax modem
Help!!!

you might need to download new drivers. The manufacturing company of your computer should have them on their site.
