1. Have HijackThis fix:

2. Reboot into safe mode (you get to the safe mode boot option by hitting the F8 key as your computer is starting up)
- Open Windows Explorer, and in the Folder Options->View settings under the Tools menu, select "show hidden files and folders", and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".
- Find and delete the following folder entirely:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\RULE SURF SOFTWARE FOUR
- Find and delete the following file:
C:\Documents and Settings\Lisa\Local Settings\Application Data\microsoft\internet explorer\V0.26.dat
- For every user account listed under C:\Documents and Settings, delete the entire contents of these folders:
1. Local Settings\Temp
2. Cookies
3. History
4. Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
- Delete the entire content of your C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Note- If you get any messages concerning the deletion of system files such as desktop.ini or index.dat, just choose to delete those files; they'll be automatically regenerated by Windows if needed. Windows will allow you to delete the versions of those files which exist in sub-folders within the main Temp/Temorary folders, but might not let you delete the versions of those files that exist in the main Temp folders themselves; this is normal and OK.
- Empty your Recycle Bin.
3. Reboot normally and post a new log.

No- delete everything in those folders, but don't delete the main folders themselves.

The answer to your problem is obvious. You've said you do not have an Office XP CD. Why not? If you've lost it, or if you are using an illicit installation of Office, then you'll need to get another one, I'm afraid!

In that circumstance, perhaps you should try to locate a friend who has a coipy, borrow it, and use it together with the 'repair' optoin when you choose Office's entry in Add/Remove programs. Hopefully, that will resolve the problem.
Perhaps you can find a helpful hand in the IT section of the educational institution where you're studying, who will run the repair on your PC for you with a copy from there?

No, I don't mean that at all. In fact if you uninstall the program, then reinstall it using a borrowed CD, then you'll run into problems with Product Activation.
But if you use Control Panel > Add/Remove programs and select the entry for Office, you should get an option to 'Repair'. Using a borrowed CD should work for that, I believe.

If it's the sameversion of the software, you'll be okay if you've still got your product key. For instance, Me and Terry each have an Office 2k3 Pro disc, each with our own product key. I can borrow his disc and use my product key, and everything would be okay.
