I am using XP with a dial-up connection. Recently it has been running very slow, then today it stopped working. I can connect to the internet. My microsoft and avast updates performed perfectly. But no browser will work nor will my email. I IMMEDIATELTY get an= message saying it cant find the webpage or that it cannot locate the mail server. I suspect a virus has changed the settings. I have scanned the hard drive but have found nothing. Any help will be appreciated. Once again this is with dial-up, no wireless or cable. My sister's laptop can connect and browse with no problem.
