Hi
I have a user that has somehow set all his Map Point 2010 saved files to open with Internet Explorer. When I go to "Open With..." and browse to Map Point 2010, after clicking OK it immediately defaults back to Internet Explorer. I can change the extension to open with Paint, or something else already in the "Open With" list, but not by browsing to the MapPoint.exe file. Internet Explorer is listed as the only recommended program to open this type of file in the list.
How can I fix?

Thanks caper...sounds like the registry tweak might work...user has flown back home so i won't be able to fix for some time but i've bookmarked your link.
