Those #$%@ Red X's

How do I get rid of the red x's? Sometimes I get the pictures, sometimes I don't. I've downloaded java so that isn't it.

Microsoft has provided a very thorough description of the issue, its causes, and fixes here . Try it out and see if your problem is resolved.

I checked it out. I cannot locate the Toggle Images.exe link that it talks about. I also cannot specify Default Level on the Security tab. The Default Level is "grayed" out. I do have "Show Pictures" marked. So problem is not resolved but thanks for the input.

Do you have any third-party security/privacy software installed (Norton, McAfee, etc.)? If so, that software may be blocking the images; check the program's options/settings.
