No sound, PLZ HELP

Ok i had a normal desktop compaq computer, with fine working sound and i transferred it to a new case, and now there is no sound. i tryed getting a a sound card but that didn't fix it. Ive also tryed all the common things wrong with it and none have helped. Any ideas about the connections or anything internal plz post, and anything on the computer itself.:sad:

Can you be specific about your soundcard?
If you're no tekkie there is a number unique to every model od any electronic part made called FCCID and it's printed on your soundcard somewhere. Just post it here.
