internet explorer wont read my network adapter

i just got a new wireless network card, and it connects fine, but i opened up internet explorer and it says web page cannot be displayed offline, its a linksys wireless B adapter and i have the wireless router, could someone plz help me out

What version of windows are you using?

For 9x/me:
Start -> Run -> command

For 2000/XP:
Start -> Run -> cmd

Then, at the prompt type:

ipconfig /all

and paste your output.
