Outlook 2003 "hide when minimized" not working

Running WIndows XP Pro with Office 2003 Pro...

Right clicking on the Outlook 2003 icon in the systray and checking the "Hide when minimized" does not check or work. Outlook 2003 still sits on the taskbar.

I tried reinstalling Office and even deleting and recreating the profile.

I went to the registry... HKey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\11.0\outlook\preferences and made: MinToTray REG_DWORD 0x000000001 and it still isn't working.

Seems like Outlook is not communicating with the registry.

Any thoughts would be most appreciative.
