I tried doing that with HJT, and t hen it asked me to restart.

I restarted, and it just gave me the same crap again (I scanned again with HJT and it had the same stuff I deleted)

Also, I couldn't find "Files\Dell..." etc etc.

My task-manager has been disabled and I keep getting this damn fake security message.

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE

• You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
• Physically disconnect from the internet.
• Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
• Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
• When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
• Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

My computer's going nuts -- it took me several tries to run ComboFix, I finally had to go through safemode to get a log. It now crashes "explorer.exe" after like 10-20 minutes of using the computer, and I'm left with just a blank desktop screen. And CTRL+ALT+DEL is "disabled by the administrator"

3. Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window.

B. 1. Please open Notepad

• Click Start , then Run
• Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.

2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:

3. Save the above as CFScript.txt

4. Physically disconnect from the internet.

5. Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.

6. Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.




7. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), please re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix then post the following reports/logs into your next reply:

• Combofix.txt
• A new HijackThis log.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

I took print-screens of all the files you asked me to check via those two online sites, I didn't see a link for a log or anything, I can upload the jpegs at imageshack or something if those are what you need to see as well.

userini.exe and winfrun32.bin were the only two files that were not infected, everything else had some infection/malware.

CF didn't reboot, but I rebooted before producing these logs.

Right now (after running CF), my computer looks like it crashed explorer.exe -- I have no toolbars / start menu access, and again my task manager's disabled "by administrator." Quick question -- how come these files keep coming back (the fake security message, etc) after I do "fix checked" on the files from HJT and I have CF delete the files? I'm going to reboot one more time just incase.

I doubt Crunchie will mind if you go ahead and do the following:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

• DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
• Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt

Post back with the MBA-M Scanlog and I'm sure Crunchie will weigh in with further advice.

Ugh, I downloaded the program, but when I put it to scan, after a while (I left it alone, thinking it would take a long time), I came back to see the blue screen of death ("Physical dump memory, etc etc").

I'm hoping there's a solution that can bypass using that program again -- just because I hate that screen. Thankfully, I rebooted and am using the same computer to make this post, so all is not lost. Yet.
