Verizon denial of service through router

I have been receiving denial of service every time i try to connect to the internet through my router which was a NETGEAR MR814 v3,using the wired ports. So i went and bought a new router a NETGEAR WGR614 v9, but still the problem occurs. Please help because i can connect to the internet through my Westell 6100 modem.

I assume you used the cdrom that came with the router to set it up 1 did you contact Verizon or Netgear for help with it

i have contacted verizon about the problem and go no where because he simply abandoned me after telling me how to setup a modem. I used the install disc to setup the router and had done several resets on the old one.

assuming you are using IE 6 or 7 ,did you try www.firefox.com browser ,also it maybe a netgear compatibility issue ,you should have tried a different brand for the new one .

just found this i think you need to setup the Westell as a bridge .read hear and see the link in why it didn't work for how to setup as a bridge

I followed the instructions in that article and the router recognizs that it is online but when i open mozilla it just gives me the same noaccess.verizon.net page

try pinging version .go to start /run ,type in CMD ,in the prompt type in this with out the quotations ,
"ping www.verizon.net" hit enter ,note there is a space between ping and the www.
see if it connects and there is no time out

did you type in www.verizion.net into the address line or are trying to connect from a link somewhere

i get redirected to that noaccess.verizon.net page automatically if i open mozilla or try to connect to any sites

did you try the ping i suggested
