Major SLOW!!!

Hello all,

Well i got an ipod touch yesterday and pretty much since then, my PC has been REALLY slower then usual!

There are a lot of svchost.exe files running and that is not normal!

My brother's PC which is single core is faster then my dual!

Even task manager is freezing!

My PC has NEVER been this slow!!!

The hijackthis log above is not showing all of the processes running, i tried renaming it, and that didn't help....

Are you right clicking it and doing run as administrator?
System Specs?
Whats eating your RAM and CPU under task manager?

Okay delete the following:

R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)

It seems to be a lot quicker now... not sure why, but my brother was copying a few gigs of music to PC, but even before that it was slow.....

What do you mean right clicking it???

I'm the only user on the PC, and yes i am admin...

I just downloaded the latest windows updates

i'm trying to run hijackthis... but it is freezing on R3......

System Specs - Windows Vista SP1
2GB Ram
AMD 4000+ Stock....

I was able to multi task all of the time...... and itunes doesn't use much.....

so i'm not sure.....

I'll try and do the things you said and then i will post a fresh hijackthis log...

Admin user on vista isnt a real admin, its a fake pseudo-admin. To be a real admin, right click Hijackthis exe and choose run as admin.
